TELEWORK

Staff who work in the Austin Metro will work in-office for one day, every other week, for a collaboration day as well as on an as-needed basis.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience communicating rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
  • Experience developing and implementing a marketing campaign.
  • Experience preparing press releases and responses to media and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Experience preparing complex reports on program status and results.
  • Experience coordinating and hosting public meetings, workshops, and webinars.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Oversee, develop, and implement highly advanced plan for the promotion of the Texas Voluntary Marginal Conventional Well (TXMCW) Program to external stakeholders including the creation of collateral to communicate high-level program requirements and preparation of press releases and social media content to announce key program highlights and accomplishments.
  • Serve as the TXMCW Program liaison to the TCEQ External Relations Division. Coordinates public meetings, workshops, and webinars to provide external stakeholders with an overview of grant opportunities under the TXMCW and to assist prospective/existing grantees navigate the grant application, award, and management process.
  • Prepare presentations and speaks to community and external stakeholders to coordinate, improve, and stimulate interest in the TXMCW Program and to secure support for program initiatives.
  • Develop recommendations for policy relating to the implementation of the TXMCW Program. Coordinates the collection, organization, analysis, and preparation of information in response to internal and external program inquiries and required reports to the Department of Energy.
  • Provide high-level advice and counsel to internal and external stakeholders by interpreting policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and standards related to the TXMCW. Consults with external stakeholders involved in the program to resolve problems and discuss program effectiveness.




Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus six years of full-time experience performing supervisory, managerial, professional or technical work which must include: analysis of work problems having an administrative aspect and interpretation of complex written material; or planning, organizing, and coordinating requirements for support services or program operations where a wide range of demands are involved, including interpretation of complex written material.


One year of full-time experience in an administrative capacity* may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.

  • A graduate degree in public administration, business administration, human resources administration, environmental resource management, planning, or an area relevant to the position, from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience.


*Administrative capacity is work where primary duties consist of performing administrative tasks of an office, excluding work such as clerical, secretarial, sales, equipment operations, and manual labor.
