Why does the job exist?

The Policy and Program Development Management Analyst (Mgt Analyst Advanced) will:
  • Assist the Cash and SNAP programs in Policy and Program Development Bureau (PPDB);
  • Assist staff within PPDB to research, develop, and implement program changes.


How does it get done?

The Management Analyst - Advanced is responsible for:
  • Assisting PPDB staff with researching and analyzing Federal, State, and local level changes;
  • Assisting in collecting data to draft and submitting various federal/state data and outcome reports;
  • Assisting with maintaining, tracking and submittal of State Plans;
  • Participating in identified program meetings and conferences, including webinars;
  • Assisting in the research and analysis of legislative bills for impact to programs the Human Services Department (HSD) administers.

The Ideal Candidate has:
  • Attention to detail;
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Experience with SHARE Financial;
  • Familiarity with CFR and NMAC;
  • Experience conducting policy research;
  • Experience providing compliance and Implementation ideas;
  • Problem solving skills.


  • Minimum Qualification

    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

    Employment Requirements

    Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

    Working Conditions

    Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Some statewide travel may be required. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints. Must have own mode of transportation for work-related travel.
